First, according to the related acadrmic studies for direction of questionnaires design, “The Scale of the Life Pressure and Social Support of the Sibling” was contructed by researcher. The forth to ninth grade siblings who lived in Taipei city, Taipei county and Taoyuan counties were sampled. This research applies the questionnaire inquisition, including 325 questionnaires distributed and 227 of them returned and 141of them valid (usable return rate = 62.11%). The findings of the study are as follows: 1. The life pressure of siblings was lower, while the social support of siblings was higher. 1.1 The life pressure from parents was the highest. 1.2 The main type of social support was instructional support, the main source of social support was family, the degree of emotion support was the highest. 1.3 The person-time of type of social support which objects of social support offered are different. 1.4 Sibling was one of the source of social support. 2. Background variables were significant differences on the life pressure, fewer differences on the social support. 2.1 There were significant differences on the life pressure, including of different age of children with spcial needs, the level of disability, the relative sequence of birth and the education degree of mother 2.1 There were significant differences on the social support of different age children with spcial needs. 3. The prediction of backgrounds and social support on the life pressure was lower. 3.1 The prediction of information support on the life pressure was the most. 3.2 There were prediction on the life pressure, including of different age of children with spcial needs, the level of disability, the relative sequence of birth.
