Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 早期療育研究所 === 98 === The Research of Early Intervention Social Workers’ Execution of Family Need Assessment in North Taiwan Abstract This study aims to investigate the family need assessment carried out by early intervention social workers in northern Taiwan by designing surveys to collect data. Among the 105 surveys sent by a general survey , 96 surveys are valid, and the rate of effective samples accounts for 92 %. The results of the study are illustrated as follows: 1. Social workers generally consider that most of the families have acquired services, and approve of the family need assessment as well as the importance of the ongoing factors affecting the assessment of the interviewed families’ needs. 2. The views and their relations that come from the social workers with different backgrounds are illustrated as follows: (1) Young and junior social workers consider that the whole needs are important. Social workers in the general service units consider that the aspects of economy, spirit, and profession are the most important; social workers in the Notification Transfer Center consider the aspect of information is the most important. (2) Ages and the aspect of information show significantly negative relation, and the rest are not significantly related. 3. The impact of the social workers with different backgrounds on the family need assessment is illustrated as follows: (1) the preparation before the assessment: ages have significantly positive relation with the basic data of collected service target; ages have significantly negative relation with the topics of assessment references and the structural tools of assessment. (2) The qualities of social workers have no significantly relation with ages and working years. (3) the qualities of the interviewees: ages, working years, and the interviewees’ reticence, talkativeness, excessive expectation for the early intervention services show significantly negative relations. (4) the context of the interviewees: ages have significantly negative relations with trustful relation and appropriate interview places; working years and appropriate interview places show significantly negative relations.
