Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 98 === Due to lifestyle changes, elders cannot catch the speeds of new technology, which explicitly leads to a generation gap between elders and their families. In this thesis, we propose a touch screen-based poker-gaming system, on which elders can play poker games with other friends or families via touch screen interface. In addition, we have implemented the game of “Bridge” on this system and discussed the design issues of which elders needed. This system consists of a touch screen table and some connected portable devices, like mobile phones or smart phones. When players came to the table, they can hold the portable devices and play the Bridge with each other. If the number of players is not enough, they can invite remote families or friends to join the games through remote connections. In addition, we designed two virtual players of different levels to interact with real players. The first-level virtual player will have basic artificial intelligence to make decisions during contact and dispatch, while the second virtual player can do the same things but based on a statistical prediction model proposed in this thesis. We have completed the system design, and make experiments to evaluate the intelligence of our virtual players. The experimental results show that the second-level virtual player can have 15% winning rates against the first-level virtual player.
