Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 工業設計學系 === 98 === By the changing of consuming style, water bottles could possess a large proportion in the drink market is not only the practical functions but also the bottle shapes. This research applied “cluster analysis” and “focus-group” methods to extract 12 representative bottle shapes and 5 representative adjectives from initial 65 different bottles shapes. Through the data analysis of fixation time determining by eye movement monitoring and the subjective preference judgments of representative bottle shapes, this research found four results: 1. The different bottle shape have different score on preference and affect. 2. Bottle shapes possessing middle size, curve form shapes and simple images could get higher preference within three features of bottle shapes. 3. High preference of bottle shapes could evoke people feel more comfortable for holding bottles. 4. High preference of bottles shape have longer fixation time on the bottle observation. Besides, most subjects gazed the bottle shapes on the part with great changing contour. There are many similar results between previous approaches and this study proving the founding in this research. The results of this study could provide useful information to related researches and design of water bottles.
