The concept of Green Building was brought up in the content of world nature protection written by the world nature protection organization in 1980. It was an idea about the world nature protection, by using the idea of building more Earth-friendly buildings it planned to let the people around the world started to see the problem of natural resources decreasing and environment protection more seriously. The Committee of Sustainable Development in Taiwan was started in 1996, since then the policy of Green Building has been an important concept for the companies which want to achieve the goal of sustainable development. The Ministry of Interior in Taiwan also published the system of certificate of Green Building in 1999, and since then the government have been working hardly plans to spread the idea to more people, and now it is rising remarkably.
