Discuss the impact of Christian belief on the attitude of elder people toward death. 2. Understand the transition process of the elderly Christians’ attitude towards death. This study introduces qualitative research with elder people who received baptism in recent years from Christian Church, Joytown, Taipei County as research participants, with data collected through semi-structured interview, observation notes, learning outcomes of scripture-reading and other methods and to consolidate the data with qualitative analysis, using triangle verification, examination of research participants, peer examination and thick description to increase the reliability and validity of the study. According to the research outcomes, an transition process of elderly Christians’ attitude towards death will be “blind exploration without deeper thought on the death”, “pessimistic and cannot help but to have no choice, people never defeat illness diseases and the Death”, “touch and detect, feel the act of grace from God”, “depressed and down, expect God to spare life of parents”, “introspect and criticize, accept the guidance of God” , “inner fulfillment, expect another reunion in the heaven” after they are in touch with Christian belief, with conclusions proposed as below : 1. A positive attitude towards death is enabled to the elderly, with learning transformed through a Christian belief. 2. The elderly to realize the meanings of life and death via bible reading. 3. The elderly to support to one another through the power of praying, to face the death with spiritual learning. 4. A change in the meaning schemes and meaning perspectives of elder people on death. 5.A four-stage transition process of elder people’s attitude towards death – failure experience stage, touch and detect stage, introspect and criticize stage, inner fulfillment stages. 6. Learning through spirituality will help transform the attitude of elderly toward death, and lastly, Proposing suggestions to general elderly, elderly Christians, educational organization for old people and future studies.
