The model specifies contextual variables such as technological characteristics, organizational characteristics, and environmental characteristics as primary determinants of E-procurement adoption in hospitals. This research analyzed by Partial Least Squares (PLS) of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to validate the hypotheses. The result revealed that hospitals with certain technological characteristics (relative advantage, compatibility, and complexity), environmental characteristics (institutional pressure and competitive pressure), organizational characteristics (top management support, IT resource, and trading partner readiness) are more likely to adopt E-Procurement. While technological characteristics (relative advantage and compatibility) and organizational characteristics (IT resource) are important determinants of decision to adopt, they do not affect the extent of e-procurement adoption.
