By setting intensive sensing points in the wireless sensor network, establishing a reliable transport mechanism and channel to reduce the waste of network resources, utilizing the optimization of routing and balancing the overall energy consumption, survival time can be increased. In this paper, we implement multi-hop routing protocol on the basis of the existing IEEE 802.15.4 wireless sensor network plus the error correction of RS-Codes. In the past, re-transmission of packets was requested if an error occurred, which will decrease the survival time and waste the power. Nevertheless, with the aid of RS codes, we can reduce power loss caused by errors during packet retransmission. In addition, IEEE 802.15.4 standard only includes the physical layer and the MAC layer. We also add the network layer and the application layer to the IEEE 802.15.4 so that packet transmission will achieve multi-hop routing, expand the sensing scope of wireless network, and increase the density of sensor nodes. In this paper, implementation is based on embedded firmware and the use of Jennic JN5121 chip. We also offer data of RS-Codes error correction capacity measured in real environment in the attachment.
