Credit Cards are currently the most popular means for paying larger amount in the physical stores, however, cash is more popular for small amount payments. Paying with cash draws some benefits though, it also brings troubles for both the sellers and customers. E-cash cards may be a convenient solution to the problems. To the management of the various e-cash card companies, understanding the factors affecting the decision for people to use an e-cash card will be critical to promoting the cards. This study applied Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to explore the factors critical to the intention of people to use an e-card. 280 questionnaires were collected from people who had recently used EasyCard, an e-cash card issued by the Taipei EasyCard Company, to pay for the small amount purchases. After statistical analysis, the results are as follows: 1. Perceived ease-of-use of the EasyCard has a positive impact on its perceived usefulness. 2. Trust towards the Taipei EasyCard Company and perceived usefulness of the EasyCards have positive impacts on the attitude toward the EasyCard. 3. Trust towards the Taipei EasyCard Company and the attitude toward the EasyCard have positive impacts on the intention to use the EasyCard. 4.
