Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 高階主管碩士在職專班 === 98 === Abstract The drugstore franchise industry has been developed for over 15 years. There are various reasons causes this development, such as the policy of separation of physician dispensing from medical practice, the liberalization of medicine importation and pharmaceutical retail business internationalization, and the impact of modernization. Moreover, the differential competitions in channels are increasing. For instance, Internet shopping, direct selling, TV shopping, chain shops of medical equipment, etc. In addition to advanced education standards on consumers, and improved consumer behaviors and habits, domestic drugstores must be evolved into franchise organizations in order to enhance advantages from franchise for facing competition and new challenges. However, due to extreme competitions, increasing market share becomes a main method to extend the channel of chain drugstores. Apart from the competition between franchise organizations of drugstore, it is necessary to train each branch as “individual store”. Then, the competitions will be developed as “store vs. store”, not only among franchise organizations. Furthermore, this industry can be stated as “human” industry. Because, it requires clerk (human) to serve customers (human). As a result, “humanity” is one of the main points that strongly influence the success of managing chain store. In addition, each manager of “individual store” must be well-trained to reach target and to be commander in store. Being the individual store manager should not only implement staff training and delegation, but also increase usefulness of resource and high standard service, in order to reach required objective from head office. This study will discuss the significant factors which influence “individual store” competition. One of the factors is related to the performance of human resource manager and the other main factors can be branch location. Therefore, this dissertation conducts an empirical case analysis on one of Taiwan chain drugstores, in order to a. Realize the impact of human resource management on management performance. b. Realize the impact of location condition on management performance. In conclusion, it is worth to analyze the connection between human resource management and performance. The result can demonstrate the effect of human resource management on branch performance, and also be an important reference for setting targets, evaluating performance management activities and adjusting human resource management policy.
