Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程所 === 98 === This thesis presents design and implementation of a high voltage maximum power point tracker (MPPT) with soft switching feature. The converter is proposed to maximize the output power of PV panels and adjust dc-bus voltage to its desired range. The converter topology is a half-bridge converter with an active-turn-off snubber, one IGBT, one transformer, one capacitor, and five diodes. The MPPT controller is based on a “perturb and observe” algorithm to track the maximum power point (MPP) of PV panels. First, the characteristics of PV panels and MPPT algorithm are introduced, and then, the half-bridge converter and snubber is analyzed. A 1.2 kW MPPT has been implemented to verify the MPP performance, and has achieved the highest conversion efficiency of 92.3%.
