In addition, the study also would like to analyze the differences of risk perception, safety leadership and safety performance among different backgrounds of fire fighters, and to investgate the relationships of them. Consequently, the study was designed to investigate the relationship among the risk perception, safety leadership, and the safety performance of the fire fighters by the quantitative approach. The fire fighter participated in this study come from Chiayi County Fire Bureau. There are totally 410 questionnaire sent, and the number of response is 313 including 260 valid responses. The results of the study are as follows: 1. Job positions and section of fire fighters showed significant differences on risk perception. Educational backgrounds, job positions and section of fire fighters showed significant differences on safety leadership. Job positions and seniority of fire fighters had significant differences on safety performance. 2. Risk perception had a significant correlation with safety performance. Safety leadership had a significant correlation with safety performance. 3. Risk perception could predict safety performance. Safety leadership could predict safety performance. 4. The interaction of risk perception and safety policy moderation effect to the work practices.
