Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 教育學研究所 === 98 === Abstract This study aimed to investigate the current condition of the principals’ perception on the external environment and their application of environmental management strategies in junior high schools, and the differences among the principals’ backgrounds. The author also investigated the relationship between the above two for further research. Survey research was conducted in this study. The author sent questionnaires to 474 principals of junior high school from 25 counties in Taiwan. There were 337 valid samples, and the rate of valid samples was 71.1%.The conclusions of this study were synthesized as followed: Most junior high principals’ perception on the external environment are categorized into the Type of Stable. Junior high school principals devoted the most in applying environmental strategy which aimed to manage the relationship between the school and the external environment. There are significant negative correlations among the entire and individual dimensions of the junior high principals’ perception on the external environment and their application of environmental management strategies. Based on the above research conclusions, offer some related suggestions to be the reference for the educational administration authorities concerned, junior high school principals and the future.
