Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 企業管理所 === 98 === As we get into the digital-information era, the data overloading problem becomes more and more seriously. How to extract the useful information from the volumes of data is a formidable challenge to managers in enterprises. For this reason, one of information technologies, business intelligence (BI), is increasingly popular to be utilized in enterprises recently. The technique can discover the useful information or knowledge to assist managers in developing and making decisions in organizations. One of the BI functions, data mining tools (DMT), therefore, is required to support the extraction of the useful information from the rapidly growing numbers of data. However, DMT has experienced limited use and spread. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to understand an individual’s behavioral intention to use DMT and to examine the significance of the critical influences on the usage of DMT. This research develops a modified model form technology acceptance model 3 (TAM3) to discuss the adoption of DMT. The theoretical framework is proposed in terms of four key parts: the task-oriented dimension (job relevance, output quality, result demonstrability, response time, and format), control beliefs (computer self-efficacy and perceptions of external control), emotion (computer anxiety), and intrinsic motivation (computer playfulness). This study examined the theoretical relationship among these parts by an empirical survey. We hope to provide managers and the DMT developers with a better understanding of the DMT adaption that help them achieve the success of the decision-making and software development.
