Activity and product distributed are obtained for SRE reaction over Pt/ZnO catalysts series under H2O/EtOH = 13, GHSV = 22,000 h-1. The result shows the activity of Pt/ZnO(C) is better than the other catalysts. Conversion of Ethanol rich 100 % at 300 ℃. Second part : in order to reduce byproduct of CH4, replace the platinum catalysts with the cobalt catalysts. Assessing the activity of the serial cobalt catalyst under the same SRE condition of reaction, the result shows 10 %Co/ZnO(C) catalyst can finish SRE and byproduct (CO < 2 % and CH4 < 3 %) is lower, therefore produce more hydrogen. Part three:The PtCo/ZnO(C) was prepared in order to combine the advantage of cobalt and platinum catalyst for SRE.
