This study applies Case Study method in Qualitative Research, tries to find out what kind of role IT plays in the community progress? What kind of effect IT inflences? What kind of factors can help comminity website sustainable in the community?
Result shows: 1.The sustainability of a community website correlates closely with where the website holder''s rights in the community; 2. An independent community website as a channel offers residents a virtual public space to discuss and communicate; 3. Community website offers immediately living information which helps residents to live more convenient, interactive and emotionally content.
Finally, how could a community website play a good role to help communication in the community and balance in the community power structure? This research bring up a way「Traditional and Semi-offical Website Dual Communication Strategy」for consideration.
