In the conventional elevator systems, when the cabin moves downwards, the entire potential energy of the cabin is wasted and converted into fluid heat by throttling. Therefore, the energy consumption is high. Recently, the power-regenerative elevators have been developed for reducing the energy consumption. In this thesis, we discuss the energy power change situation of motor system, when elevator is in power regenerative mode. The regenerative power is fed into AC-grid by DC bus of inverter, rectification, and filter. This achieves the energy conservation and power saving. Finally, the simulation analysis and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the performance. Keywords: Elevator, motor, inverter, power regenerative, control. In this thesis, we discuss the energy power change situation of motor system, when elevator is in power regenerative mode.
