Since the blocking property of OVSF codes, the bandwidth available is limited and should be managed very efficiently. The most approaches for the code assignment problem, which assume the requests demand a fixed transmission rate, often make the inefficient code allocation while the users can demand variable bandwidth requirements. Since the efficiency of the code utilization will be heavily affected by the users’ behaviors and actions, a game-theoretical approach for OVSF code assignment in the multi-rate WCDMA systems is proposed. In the proposed approach, the code assignment problem is modeled as a non-cooperative game and solving through the bargaining process. By solving the conflict between the limited bandwidth, the simulation results show that the proposed approach provides superior performances than other conventional code assignment approaches in terms of performance measures. 賴國華 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 41 en_US
