Since there is considerable cost of RFID introduction, a hospital should evaluate the overall impact before making decision. Therefore, not only a profound evaluation approach is essential, but also a hospital should follow system implementation in the process of facilitating RFID. Thus RFID can reveal its full effect in medical industry. Methods: Our research concludes topics through literature review. After interviewing specialists from hospitals already deploy RFID and topic filtration, we set up performance evaluation index for RFID introduction. Afterwards, we performed questionnaire survey to staff from hospitals that already deploy RFID. Crucial factors and evaluation index are concluded by factor analysis, and apply them into our case study. After the deployment of RFID system, we measured user satisfaction and attention degree by key index. Results: We originally concluded 319 topics through literature review, and 19 specialists were invited for topic filtration. Finally 114 indexes were determined for performance evaluation. The reducing rate was 64.26%. Then we performed questionnaire survey to 128 staff from 10 hospitals already deploy RFID. We concluded 6 crucial factors and 26 belonging evaluation index, which were put into measurement approach. In the category of user satisfaction, the ranking is “information accuracy”、 “information completion”、 “user satisfaction”、 “waiting period”、 “satisfaction of applying information”、 “reading convenience”、 “accuracy of interpreting problem”、 “satisfaction of information system”. In the category of individual attention degree, the ranking is “information immediacy”、 “information accuracy”、 “reading convenience”、 “improvement of organization response ability”、“user satisfaction”. Conclusions: The deployment of RFID enables medical industry to improve interior operation, and facilitates the connection between related organizations, which improves synergy among them. Since there is considerable cost to deploy RFID, a hospital should make cautious evaluation in advance. Our research sets up performance evaluation index for deploying RFID, and develop an application model for medical system. This research aims to prosper our medical industry, and to provide people with healthier environment. Sy-MingGuu 古思明 學位論文 ; thesis 212 zh-TW
