Summary: | 碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所碩士班 === 97 === The purpose of the study is to explore the process of the vocational high school teachers teaching and students learning to make and control circuit on the course “Chip Control”.
The participants of the study are 20 twelfth grade students in the electronic engineering department at the vocational high school. The researcher is the instructor. The researcher adopts the action research method , interviews , observations and documents to note down the teaching process for one semester. Besides, the researcher also uses the qualtitative method to disscuss and analyze the results of the study. The researcher hopes that the outcome of this study could help other researchers apply PBL to their curriculum design.By the research purpose and methods, the main findings of study in teachers and students are as followed:
For teachers, they must pay attention to constructing the students’ related knowledge when teaching, and they must prepare related resources for students; they must pay attention to situation, and use blank or after school to require group cooperation study, and request various groups to carry out the curriculum by discussion activity. The teacher is the curriculum guide; the teacher is the curriculum controller. And the teachers’ whole feeling is as followed:
1. PBL is funnier than traditional pedagogy.
2. PBL needs more time and stamina.
3. The teaching time were tow hours a week, and the teachers felt a little pressed for time.
4. In the finally test, PBL is objective and accurate.
5. Teachers have good impressions on Chip Control by PBL.
6. The teachers apply PBL in enterance exam, and they show uncertain attitudes.
For students, the ability of self-study and solving the problems promotes. And the analysis ability promotes as well. The students also become familiar with the process from individual learning to group cooperation study. And the students’ whole feeling is as followed:
1. In the initial period, students felt burdensome.
2. Students also felt bothersome when preparing entrance exam.
3. After familiarizing with PBL, they thought that the general chip control teaching was more interesting.
4. After completing final product, their self-confidence promoted.
5. Students have good impressions on Chip Control by PBL.
