Description
Summary:碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 空間設計系碩士班 === 97 === Among the aborigines of Taiwan, besides those widely-known “High Mountain Nine Clans”, there are some plain clans which were long neglected. Those plain clan people(PinPu) were forced to receive foreign cultures and customs, for the authority could not equally identify their unique culture, art entertainment, religion and custom. Thus, the traditional culture of PinPu were been abandoned for a long time. The religion sacred space of Siraya is called “konkai”. For the ”konkai” represents the center of religion culture, the research towards it should be emphasized on the theories of Siraya’s sacred space and the correspondence between cultures and “konkai”. In this essay, I intend to investigate the historical material of Siraya at first, and then analyze the sacred space through three parts: “ideal”, “dynamic” and “static”. I found that the constitution of sacred space was highly linked with the legends, taboo, reliefs and ceremonies. Afterwards, I try to utilize some historical materials to analyze the transform of “konkai’ character and the probable space function for the primary use. After understanding the constitution of sacred space, I decide to guide the conclusion into some actual cases: the “konkai” space of “Kapas-au”, “Tou she”, “Liu chong xi” and “Xiao lin”, which are still maintaining the traditional religion manners. Through the comparison of sacrifice and space employ differences of each “konkai”, we can understand the deployment and ranks of “konkai”. The special features of the sacred space of Siraya: 1.The significance of “Sacred space” is built on the fulfillment of the religion notions and ceremonies to become a concrete space manifestation. 2.Legends, gods, “pot body”, “Xiang”, and the sacred object, jointly constitute the prototype of “Sacred space” of Siraya. And it fulfills itself on the still space of “konkai”. 3.The building which is called “konkai” nowadays is a compound space of two different religion cultures. 4.The types of “konkai” of Siraya divide into three forms: “Three walls, three spaces without a door in the front side”, “One wall in the back side, but other parts can be seen through, with a door in the front side” and “Three walls, with two doors in the front side”.
