ABSTRACT
This main purpose of research is to understand and probe into students'' academic pressure, leisure coping and health condition of junior high school. There are four study tools (Students’ academic pressure scale, Leisure coping strategy scale, coping outcome assessment scale and Health condition scale etc.), to find out about the condition of students in junior high school, to analyses the different of population statistics and confer the relationship with four scales.
This samples in this paper is national junior high school in Nantou County. Gathered samples in 11 junior high school in Nantou County in purposive sampling and get 348 students. After processing the data with descriptive statistics, explanatory factor analysis, one-way ANOVA, Pearson`s correlation and strpwise multiple regression , we got the following generalization:
1、The junior high school students'' academic pressure which is at the high medium level results chiefly in two factors; '' individuals '' and '' teachers ''.Among the three factors of the leisure coping strategy , '' Leisure Mood Enhancement '' is the most suitable; whereas, among the three factors of the coping outcome, '' Coping Effectiveness '' is the most workable. To sum up, the health condition of the ninth graders in junior high school is satisfactory.
2、Statistics show that girl students have more academic pressure than boy students. In addition, students raised from strict parenting families have more academic pressure. On the contrary, it shows in the L.C.S, boy students obviously have higher scale level than girl students in '' Leisure Companionship '' part . Besides, boy students get higher score in the '' Coping Outcome Assessment Scale ''. Furthermore, students instructed by teachers with democratic leadership have better outcome for self-coping .Boy students are superior to girl students in health condition. However, students who are the youngest children in their families have more mental problems than those are the oldest.
3、 There is no evident difference between academic pressure and leisure coping strategy. In fact, there is a negative correlation for the outcome. There is a positive correlation between LCS and COA .Whereas, it indicates a negative correlation between academic pressure and health condition, but a positive correlation between LCS and health. And the coping outcome has positive correlation with health. Students with higher coping outcome status relatively own a better health condition; whereas, students with higher academic pressure own a worse health condition.
4、Both of leisure coping outcome and academic pressure can effectively forecast health
condition, variable is 27%.
Originally study except that propose explaining the result of the income , and discuss to the application of the result of study , research and propose some suggestions on the future at the same time .
