The researching implement, ”Questionnaire of the participation, constraint and satisfaction in leisure activities of Yunlin County’s junior high school teachers”, was designed to understand the differences under different background, and further explored the relationship among them.
The study investigated on the teachers of Yunlin County’s junior high schools. 467 questionnaires were issued and 431 ones were valid. SPSS For Windows 12.0 was used to carry out the correlative statistics analysis, and the data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, Product-Moment Correlation analysis and Scheffe Method. The major findings are summarized as follows:
1.Juuior high school teachers who participated in regular leisure activities occupied 29.7%. And the participant proportion is not high. The major leisure activities which the teachers participated in were readind newspaper or magazine, listening to music or radio(M=4.14),watching TV or video(M=4.03),taking a rest (M=4.02). There are obvious differences among different background (gender, seniority, the condition of marriage ,teaching subjects and job titles) in joining in regular leisure activities.
2.The highest average is the environment constraint aspect(M=3.96), while the lowest one is the aspect of social constraint(M=3.07). Significant differences of individual constraint aspect are found under diverse condition of gender, marriage and seniority .
3.The most satisfied feeling for leisure is physical aspect(M=4.19), and then is social aspect(M=3.89); while the least one is relaxation aspect(M=3.77). Significant differences of aesthetic aspect ,phycology aspect and total constraint aspects are found under diverse teaching subjects.
4.There are positive correlations among teachers’ total constraint aspects and leisure total satisfaction aspects(r=.24). It is meaning that higher participating leisure activities then lower the constraints of leisure activity participation.
