At locations where only single-phase electricity is available, three-phase induction motors with Steinmetz connection are widely used as mechanical power source for agricultural irrigation. This thesis proposes a Steinmetz circuit using passive circuit elements which solves the problem of unbalance operation in the traditional steinmetz circuit using a optimization pure capacitor. This thesis simulates the proposed Steinmetz circuit using the Universal machine module of the EMTP to study the improvement in current and voltage unbalance and pulsating torque. Experiments on a 375W induction motor are carried out to validate the results of simulation. none 王耀諄 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 96 zh-TW
