Input modalities contained visual, auditory and both channels for hearing subjects. On the other hand, the stimulus were presented by visual, sign and both for the deaf subjects. The result of Exp.1 showed that deaf subjects’ performance was significantly lower than hearing ones on memory span task. Deaf subjects’ accuracy of recall by writing for deaf was superior to the one by sign. For the hearing subjects, there was no significant difference on memory span task between written recall and vocal recall. The result also demonstrated that the performance of reading comprehension for deaf subjects was inferior to the hearing ones. Mode of information acquisition may be a factor in deaf subject’s reading comprehension. Min-sheng Chen 陳敏生 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 54 zh-TW
