Summary: | 碩士 === 國立陽明大學 === 物理治療暨輔助科技學系 === 97 === Background: Children with cerebral palsy(CP) tend to develop poor postural control. For school-age child, sitting is an important posture, especially in classroom of school. Manipulation pattern on the table would interfered by poor sitting posture control of children with cerebral palsy, and children could not concentration in classroom as they learn. The traditional evaluation tool could not show objective data, and traditional training method of sitting postural control was un-interesting and simple for child. This research was established a real-time assessment system and interactive game-base rehabilitation system as an training program for cerebral palsy children with poor postural control.
Purpose: The objectives of this study were to (1) develop a device to assess static and dynamic sitting balance via visual cue, (2) establishes an interactive game-base rehabilitation system to training dynamic sitting control for school-age children with cerebral palsy.
Methods: The signals of rate sensor and force plate were transferred and composed. After that, evaluating module and training module were creating by LabVIEW software. One typical development child (12 years old) and one child with cerebral palsy (10 years old) voluntarily joined this study.
Results & Discussion: The assessment system could detect static and dynamic sitting balance control on real-time. Subject had shown high participating in the interactive game-base rehabilitation system. Typical development child controlled static sitting balance in almost one position, but child with cerebral palsy had more sway in the small scope and could not holing in static position. Typical development child could control trunk smoothly to any directions by order, and child with cerebral palsy could only control trunk in anomalous trajectory in limited range.
Conclusion: The device we developed could detect static and dynamic sitting control on real-time supplely, safely and objectively. And subject was interested in the training system make him practice dynamic sitting control in mass.
