The use of infrared devices in multi-point touching control is still scarce. Usually, an infrared multi-point touch device usually comes with an infrared photography module and use image processing algorithms and software models to perform the computation and calibration. The IR module has the superiority of long life, high efficiency and large in size. This study will first simulation a multi-point touching control IR system. A new analog to digital conversion setup is proposed. The algorithm to calculate the touch location is based on the property that the light source will propagate in straight line. The sensor devices are composed of the IR LED and IR Sensor. To reduce the calculation error usually happened in the traditional IP multi-point touch devices, a software controlled emission and reception model which based on the straight line propagation property of light. In this research, a simulation software is developed to simulate the hardware design in order to verify the validity of the proposed algorithm. The complete simulation of 1 and 2 points shows that we can identify them without error. Sampled version of 3 and more points simulation is done sparsely and the result is still no error up to three points touch the screen at the same time.
