Many reports indicated that tumor’s growth had connection with angiogenesis. Angiogenesis can assist proliferation and transfer of tumor cells. If we can use computer as a tool to simulate and forecast angiogenesis, the result may has a lot of help for tumor cure and tissue repair. In this study, we use human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) to do in vitro angiogenesis experiment. We regulated the concentration of serum ( 0%, 0.5%, 2% and 10% ) and added 100 ng/ml vascular endothelial growth factor to induce HUVEC capillary-like structure formation. In result, we discovered that the completion of capillary-like structure increased as the concentration of serum did. Therefore, capillary-like structure and concentration of serum can be correlated. In the process, we transform angiogenesis mathematical model into program of MATLAB. A substitution of experiment parameters into a radial basis function for simulation was followed. Depend on simulation output, we can appraise accuracy and feasibility of simulation. Chung-Yih Wang 王鐘毅 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 88 zh-TW
