An incremental conductance (IC) MPPT is used to keep the power pump at maximum power point. A charge system with bi-directional converters is also built for regulating the load variation. Small-signal analysis by state approach is conducted for performance evaluation and design consideration. The controller is implemented by a PIC18F4580 executing IC MPPT and providing interleave driving signals. A design example of 1kW solar energy stored energy system is implemented. The system performance is so close to the predictions.
