Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 教育行政與評鑑研究所碩士班 === 97 === Around the world, research performance is often evaluated by the quality of their publication, where the quality of journal articles is a basic commonly used criterion. Subsequently, this study will explore various review methods of journals and the important issues of quality research evaluation indicators. Through bibliometrics indicators this study will also assess educational academic journal publications of Taiwan. This research uses the “Academic Citation Index database” published by Airiti Inc, based on sixty-one educational journals in the collection; excluding not conforming journals within the scope of this research. In adopting bibliometrics indicators, this study seeks existing and related indicators, excluding not appropriate and unrelated index, nine indicators were applied to evaluating domestic educational journals. This study will use Pearson Product-moment Correlation to understand the relevant performance of nine indicators. Furthermore, through one-way ANOVA and independent sample t-test, using different background variables for education journals, as indicators differences, the accuracy of the test analysis through cluster analysis and journals classification, and a one-way ANOVA test the validity of the classification. Finally, the results of this study will be measure up with the National Science Council of Education rated research journal weighed against the one-way ANOVA comparison study of the journals and evaluation performance difference for periodicals in TSSCI database. The major findings of this study are as follows: 1. Journal quality is indispensable to an essential status in various counties’ research evaluation. 2. ISI has eight main indicators of evaluating periodicals around the world in tracking their journal quality, and the emerging Hirsh’s h-index has become essential in recent years. 3. Evaluating Taiwan educational journals’ performance indicators are “total cites” and “impact-adjusted factor”, “cited-to-citing ratio”, “highly cited”, “h-index”, “g-index”, “A-Index”. 4. The domestic assessment of educational journals research indicates ranking and importance primary; Compared to foreign-related research, discussion will be focused on indication of journal evaluation. 5. The number of readership, the frequency publication and the rate of rejection are the three main variables do not affect the nine educational Journals to assess their performance, but, of six TSSCI indexed journals have higher performance than that of non-periodical TSSCI. 6. The domestic educational journals can be divided into four groups. 7. The top level journals of this research have better performance in the indicators than TSSCI educational journals. If related institution takes standard of the journal assessment by Bibliometrics, it may consider these journals to be included in the TSSCI. In conclusion, a study recommendation on evaluating domestic educational Journals will assist the relevant agencies for further research and reference.
