Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 溝通障礙碩士學位學程 === 97 === The purpose of this study was to enhance the effects of spontaneous communication behaviors of infants with hearing impairment after teaching Baby Sign instruction. The subjects of this study were two infants with hearing impairment that were fourteen months. The study use the single-subject experimental design, which process was separated into three periods: the periods of the baseline design across, experimental intervention, and the maintenance. The independent variable was the teaching Baby Sign. The dependent variable was spontaneous communication behaviors. The charts and visual analysis were utilized to explain the effects of spontaneous communication behaviors changing with teaching Baby Sign instruction to two infants with hearing impairment. The major findings were summarized as followings: 1. Teaching Baby Sign could promote spontaneous communication behaviors of infants with hearing impairment, and keep effect on the maintenance phase. 2. Teaching Baby Sign could change spontaneous communication percentage of two subjects , that was transform from the communication role with their mother to information receive to take the initiative information. 3. Teaching Baby Sign has effect to promote two subjects use baby sign on experimental intervention phase, but that effect on maintenance phase is discordant. 4. Teaching Baby Sign has significant increase in positive of two subjects use vocal communication way on experimental intervention and maintenance phase. 5. Teaching Baby Sign has significant increase in positive of two subjects use other communication way on experimental intervention and maintenance phase. According to these findings of this study, several suggestions for teaching Baby Sign of infants with hearing impairment and recommendation for the future researches were proposed. Suggests other researchers and hopes this study become a program of infants with hearing impairment in early intervention.
