碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 視覺藝術學系視覺藝術教學碩士學位班 === 97 === Life is a river of time which travels through valleys, forests, plains and thus sculpting the landscapes on its course. Sometimes it is torrential; sometimes tranquil; sometimes full of life; and sometimes torpid. Sometimes it is visited by fish, shrimps and birds. Sometimes it simply flows peacefully in silence. It carries the life of itself as well as that of others to the sea. With the passing of time, our life grows with the ones around us because of love. We foster of wholesome character and confidence for identifying with our external identity and internal self-awareness. Our life is full of diversity and alive because of our creativity. And to enjoy the beauty of it all, fundamentally, is through achieving a spiritual freedom and to possess autonomy through self-identification. I have used plants as the symbol of my creative works. The relationship between the unique characteristics of plants and mother earth is adapted to interpret my viewpoint of freedom of life with the methods of recreating and shifting/twisting the forms of natural objects . The subjects of my creations are divided into three series: Free-spirit, Happiness and Joy, and Force of Life. In my opinion, the freedom of life is not bestowed by others. It is a feeling of being with the elements with natural ease and comfort. Through the process of creating, I have discovered my very own philosophy of existence and hence obtained more ability to face the various feeling of happiness and sadness in life. The world may not be as beautiful as we wish it would be. However, we are able to reconstruct a utopia of our own through different perception and the activities to create something. I have found self-gratification during the process of creating and obtained more tolerance and understanding towards life.
