| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北醫學大學 === 醫學人文研究所 === 97 === The purpose of this study is to investigate and discuss the relationships of population factors, work values and speciality characteristics for the residents. This research uses cross-sectional research method and purposive sampling, the residents less than sixth year of six teaching hospitals of north and middle region were selected as the subjects, and data were collected in the period from November 1, 2008 to January 31, 2009, and then 120 copies of questionnaires were returned. This research has analyzed the empirical data and deductive these following conclusions:
1. The different population factors of the residents have significant difference in part of work values.
2. The different population factors of the residents have significant difference in part of speciality characteristics.
3. The primary officers'' work values and could influence their speciality characteristics.
Finally, the author will discuss the results based on the observation in the studies and provide a suggestion to medical management, medical education, the residents ,and researches of the future.
