Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 中國文學系碩士班 === 97 === The essay''s topic is "The battle outside of the Rainy Street——The studies of Dai Wangshu''s poems about love and war". "Rainy Street" is one of Dai Wangshu''s master pieces, and "battle" implied "resistance". Dai Wangshu was borned in the times of chaos caused by war around 1910s.He had to face the anxiety from the external world and, on the other hand, seeked for internal love in his own mind. Influenced by this kind of dual inspiration, he thus created many immortal master pieces. In the essay, there are two sections to deal with Dai Wangshu''s love''s poems, which are the love poems composed during his former and latter periods and the two kinds of symbolic images that he usually used. In the war poems part, he emphasized in three ways to encourage people, being common civilization, hoping for quiet living, and revealing the cruel side of war. The purpose of the essay is to analyze Dai Wangshu''s pieces in depth, as well as reevaluate his position among Taiwanese poets regardless of the sensitivity of being a communist.
