The paper studies global sourcing strategy in motherboard insustry. At first, the paper distinguishes four types of global sourcing strategies, and then builds up a system dynamics model of global sourcing logistics. The paper also studies how different demand forms and the various instabilities caused by supply chain disruption affect the decision of global sourcing strategy with inventory and service level assessment. The study shows us that the decision of single sourcing strategy, dual sourcing strategy and multi-sourcing strategy makes the inventory and service level significant different. It means that the optimal combination of global sourcing strategy will change in different business scenarios.
