Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 有機高分子研究所 === 97 === Copolymer that consist of methyl methacrylate and styrene are synthesized in this research. The synthetic copolymer also contain 18 wt% of clays, which are exfoliated by the processing procedures. On the other hand, FTIR and DSC are used to characterize the materials. The potential applications of these copolymers as compatibilizer are elucidated. It is found that the material increase the tensile strengths of PMMA/PS blends significantly.
