碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 建築與都市設計研究所 === 97 === On March 12, 2008 No 274 on Section 1, Dihua Street, Taipei suffered a fire which also affected “historic building” No270, “historic building” No272, No276, and “historic building “No278. The street houses in the historic area preserve the appearance of the historic street and meet the “Detailed plan for the historic appearance special zone in Dadaocheng, Datong district, Taipei” implemented in 2003. However, because some of the buildings of Dihua Street are “historic buildings” they are not subject to building laws and fire standards. The doors and windows, floors and roofs are made of wood and the buildings are close together, meaning that a fire can spread easily. Taking No 117, 233 and 272 on Dihua Street as examples, this paper discusses fire prevention, initial fire extinguishing, escape, prevention of the spread of fire, fire compartments and fire fighting and rescue. The results of research are as follows: 1. Probable Fire hazard factors: Taipei New Year Market, Street parade, the street is narrow and makes fire fighting difficult, with cars and motorcycles also parked. 2. Fire hazard occurrence mode: Fire source use location, No fire compartments, The opening is not a fire prevention door or window and passes through the floors 3. Fire prevention measures: The primary consideration for street house fire prevention should be preserving their original appearance. A fire prevention plan should attach importance to fire prevention and early stage fire detection equipment and install suitable equipment.
