碩士 === 東海大學 === 資訊工程與科學系 === 97 === As the rapid development of the Internet, there are increasing demands for managing the content data which is expressed in XML format. In order to construct a data-intensive website in Internet, many XML document transformations need to be performed. It is the current trend to use XQuery to transform and query XML data. Writing XQuery scripts manually is usually the most time-consuming part of constructing a data-intensive website. In this thesis, a visual XML extraction and query tool is proposed to generate XQuery script automatically. Based on this tool, an automated data-intensive website constructing system is developed in this work.
