| Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 建築學系 === 98 === Along the evolution of times, Due to the rapid modernization of cities, there are a lot of public spatial activities taking place in the seams of cities because of their long-term gathering, which also makes spatial alienation the revolutionary power of life.
Like night market, originally a kind of voluntary business behavior, compensates for the limitation set by city planning through its stall allocation and intensive interaction on the streets. The situation of this kind of place forms a base of general cultural recognition nowadays, constantly regulating the tense spatial status of the highly-efficient operation of cities.
Therefore, the purpose of this research is to search for the basic operational theory or variable model based on: 1, the “sequential space of the scene juxtaposition” and “the inconsistency formed by the scenario” created by the night market; 2, observation on flexible space applied by the vendors’ start and end of their operation, pushing the limit of the flexible space in the start of its operation and releasing the flexible space after its operation. Through the theory and variable model found, we hope we could transform the operational mechanism of night market’s space and turn the mechanism into a device that could be applied by art activities and exhibition. The device obtained from the transformation of this spatial cultural product, would then bring the application model back to certain space of cities where efficient application of the space is needed, succeeding and creating a spatial cultural region that could be learned and representation and designing the discourse about regional spatial experiment.
