Summary: | 碩士 === 東海大學 === 化學工程與材料工程學系 === 97 === Talc has been recognized as one of the most effective nucleating agent for Polylactic Acid (PLA). Surface modification of Talc was attempted in this study with both silane and titanium coupling agents and several acid. Crystallization temperature of PLA was largely raised by the silane and Latic acid modified talc. Degree of crystallization, however, was little improved when the cooling rates are fast. Nevertheless, DMA results showed that the lowering of storage modulus during heating processes could be greatly suppressed by the addition of surface-modified nucleating agents.
