The authoring tool allows a teacher to design teaching materials that incorporate external multimedia objects (i.e., on-screen texts, images, video/audio files, etc.), and further script animated pedagogical agents to be tutors in these materials. The courseware was examined in an elementary school. The results of questionnaire reveal that participants including teachers and students were satisfied with the design of courseware. They also agreed that animated tutors in multimedia materials edited form the courseware can promote instructional effect. Thus, the courseware provides the opportunity for teachers to enhance their pedagogical value to the curriculum, further promotes students’ interest and motivation in learning.
