Concerning about aging baby boomers and low birth-rate, developed countries have been forced to make preparations for possible impacts, such as aging workforces, slower business developments and investments, also, declining in property sales, due to increasing numbers of grown children living with elder parents. However, this change also generates business opportunities on fields included senior home care services, disease prevention, senior tourisms, leisure learning, and the wealth management. As recent figures shown, the growing senior market was redirecting the global economy. Tourism development was an important index for evaluating the modernization and internationalization of a country. By bringing the tourism, leisure activities, and sports together, not only this industry generates great direct economic values and indirect benefits for developing countries, but also creates job opportunities, boots economy, and builds a country’s image. Recognized by its great potential, the sports tourism expends to a global industry, which could be classified into three categories: the activity sports tourism, the affair sports tourism, and the nostalgia sports tourism. This paper was searching for the perceptions and the impediments upon the seniors in sports tourism, and senior residents from the Kaohsiung City were selected to participate. All 343 samples were analyzed by using the descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. The result shows gender has no significant difference in the sport tourism perceptions and conatraints; Higher educated and economy seniors have significant difference in the sport tourism perceptions and conatraints; There was significant relationship between the perception and the constraint. Based on the findings, some suggestions about related researches was presented; in hope, this paper would contribute knowledge to further our understanding in the sports tourism study.
