Therefore, extra curricular activity becomes the only way that students could make a choice based on their own interests. Specifically, extra curricular activity is existed outside the regular educational system, and it provides students an opportunity and locations to choose or to organize their own group after being approved by school. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between students’ involvement with extra curricular activity and their perceived leisure satisfaction among Tainan vocational high schools. Four important objectives are listed as follows: 1) to explore students’ participation and involvement levels in extra curricular activities, and their perceived levels of leisure satisfaction; 2) to examine the differences of students’ background variables on their involvement in extra curricular activities, 3) to examine the differences of students’ background variables on their leisure satisfaction ; and 4) to explore the relationship between students’ involvement with extra curricular activity and their perceived leisure satisfaction. Through convenient sampling method, survey questionnaire was utilized to collect data. Participants came from five different high schools with vocational programs. A total of 559 valid response sets were collected and analyzed using the statistical software of SPSS 12.0. Statistical analysis methods conducted includes descriptive statistics, factor analysis, chi square test, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlations. The conclusions are listed as below: 1. Vocational high school students have positive attitude towards extra curricular activities. v 2. Vocational high school students with different personal attributes differ significantly in their level of involvement with extra curricular activity. 3. Vocational high school students with different personal attributes differ significantly in their level of perceived leisure satisfaction. 4. There are significant and positive correlations between vocational high school students’ involvement with extra curricular activity and their leisure satisfaction.
