The used to investigate the adsorption of azo dye in an aqueous solution. The Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinnin-Radushkevich adsorption models were applied to describe the equilibrium istherms at different sizes and isotherm constants were determined﹒ The Langmuir model agreed very well experimental data. The influences of molar ratio of crosslink/chitosan, concentrations of azo dye, pHs, temperatures, and sizes of adsorbents on the adsorption of azo dye were carried out. The experimental data fitted well to the second-order kinetic model. The adsorption capacity increased largely with decreasing pH and with increasing initial dye concentration. The thermodynamic property is the exothermic reaction. The adsorption capacity increased largely wuth decreasing solution pH.
