It is rather effective and suitable for solving the optimization problem of physical engineering. Digital filter design is an important part of the digital signal processing, and it generally consists of two kinds of filters: finite impulse response (FIR) filter and infinite impulse response (IIR) filter. Each type of digital filters has its individual merit and applicable place. This thesis proposes to use the real-coded immune algorithm to solve the design problem for these two kinds of filters, respectively.
