Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 97 === Abstract The study primarily aims to discern the correlations of the leadership style, psychological contract, and leadership performance among elementary Inspection Office supervisors of the Coast Guard Administration, and to discern the variations in the leadership style, psychological contract and leadership performance among elementary Inspection Office supervisors of the Coast Guard Administration under varied demographic variable, in an attempt to identify the appropriate conducts and etiquette among elementary Inspection Office supervisors. The study utilizes the questionnaire mode to conduct the finding validation and analysis by focusing on the existing personnel at the various Southern Coastal Patrol Office of Coastal Patrol Directorate General, Flotilla’s fishing and commercial harbor patrol offices (excluding that for the Dongsha, Nansha Command and the Penghu area) as the study subjects, with a total of 430 questionnaires distributed, yielding a total valid sample of 381 questionnaires upon weeding out incomplete and duplicate answers, with an effective recall ratio of 88.6%. With which, the 381 effective questionnaires are used as the study’s data analysis material, which are put through data analysis using the single factor variable analysis and imperial correlation analysis, with the study’s factual validation findings described as follows: I. The leadership style among elementary Inspection Office supervisors of the Coast Guard Administration tend to have a higher level of consensus on the converting leadership orientation. II. The elementary Inspection Office personnel of the Coast Guard Administration tend to respond well to toward the recognition level of the psychological contract. III. The elementary Inspection Office personnel of the Coast Guard Administration tend to respond well toward the supervisor’s leadership performance. IV. The demographic statistical variable has not manifested significant variations among the various leadership styles. V. The psychological contract tends to manifest significant variations between age-based intrinsic variable and the transaction-oriented contract, with those younger and the servicemen tend to lean toward the transaction-oriented contract in the psychological contract, and the rest of the demographic variables have not shown significant variations. VI. The leadership performance manifests significant variations between the unit-based intrinsic variable and levels of objective achievement, and the rest of the demographic variables have not manifested significant variations. VII. The converting leadership orientation in the supervisor’s leadership style is positively correlated to the contingent contract in psychological contract. VIII. The converting leadership orientation in the supervisor’s leadership style is positively correlated to the subordinate’s leadership performance on the aspects of leadership satisfaction and levels of objective achievement. IX. The contingent contract of the unit personnel’s psychological contracts is positively correlated to the leadership performance in the aspects of leadership satisfaction and levels of objective achievement. Research recommendations: I. Recommendations toward the organization: To refine the Inspection Office supervisors’ orientation and training by routinely staging the converting leadership professional knowledge study. II. Recommendations toward the elementary Inspection Office supervisors: (I) To stringently adopt the converting leadership orientation to strengthen the supervisory leadership performance. (II) To instill Inspection Office personnel’s contingent psychological contract model to enhance the personnel’s loyalty and recognition. (III) To strengthen Inspection Office personnel’s awareness of the psychological contract. (IV) To promote continued self study and develop professional aptitude.
