Summary: | 碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 97 === This study proposes a novel architecture for road traffic management communication system based on wireless mesh network. This architecture is based on IEEE 802.16 wireless network protocol, and the mesh mode is adopted. In the system, Traffic information collected by vehicle terminals is automatically delivered to Base Station (BS). After BS makes the pre-processing, local traffic information is delivered to Traffic Management Centers (TMC). After TMC analysis full area traffic, the timing to adjust traffic signs is obtained. This wireless mesh network (WMN) is helping to avoid laying down the cable between the base station and TMC. Regardless of the wireless backbone network or the wireless access network in system, information can be delivered between the nodes by the way of multi-hop relay. and communication range therefore can be extended massively. In order to confirm the feasibility of the architecture, three scenarios are planed and network simulation tool NCTUns is used to check the performance of AODV, DSDV and ADV in this study. In according to the simulation result, although the three routing mechanisms have different performance in each different scenario respectively, DSDV is the best choice for the system. In the simulation, it is also found that the performance difference can be more obvious along with increasing the number of vehicles in all scenarios.
