Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 98 === Recently, BALI ZON-AN PARK has been one of the most popular parks around Taipei City. As the increasing of use level, recreation conflicts often occur between two different recreation activity participants. The purpose of this study is to investigate walkers’ and bicyclists’ leisure involvement, recreation conflict, coping behaviors, and test the relationships among those three variables. The study site is the BALI ZON-AN PARK in Taipei County and the survey has been conducted since March, 2008. A total of 424 questionnaires are available. The study results first reveal that the bicyclists’ perceived conflicts are significantly influenced by “attraction”, but walkers’ perceived conflicts aren't influenced. Second, recreation conflicts influence walkers’ and bicyclists’ coping behaviors, but the relationships between recreation conflict and coping behavior are not always positive. Third, walkers’ and bicyclists’ coping behaviors are significantly influenced by “attraction” and “self-expression”. Based on the study results, it is suggested that distancing the two trails, education programs and activity codes improve the recreation conflicts between walkers and bicyclists.
