Description
Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 廣播電視電影學研究所(含碩專班) === 97 === This study research is based on ‘In-Depth Interview’ as research method, the interview samples included senior cameramen’s who have been worked in TV News production field for over ten years. The main purpose is to find out that how these senior cameramen’s deal with the major changes in News production when digitization and Non-linear editing system become mainstreams. This research focuses on three levels: 1. After TV News production turns its way into digitization, how senior cameramen’s adjust, adapt, and accommodate to this new technique? 2. After they actually operated on the new non-linear editing system, what are the effects and influences on their working conditions and technical skills? 3. What are the degenerating and abominable working conditions in mass media they are facing today? This research shows varies phenomena that happened during digitization process; cameramen’s follow series of arrangements told by company, and become what Burawoy mentions in his ‘Making Out’ concept, the ‘Voluntary Compliance.’ The appearance of Non-linear editing system and digital archive computer in a way cause ‘Multi-skilling’ tendency, and at the same time, accelerating the ‘De-skilling’ of photography. These results put these senior cameramen into a low salary and low position status, moreover, an ‘Alienation’ situation.
