碩士 === 世新大學 === 企業管理研究所(含碩專班) === 97 === Procurement management problems may significantly affect the operations performance in many manufacturing industries, and they have been considered as an important issue for both business practice and academic research. An effective procurement management can help enterprises to maintain the quality of supply, and reduce the procurement costs of raw materials and components. The purposes of the study are to investigate and analyze the procurement operations and performance, especially for the high-tech display industry. The present study selected L Company of display industry as case for conducting in-depth interview and secondary data analysis to investigate its procurement process, system, strategy, and performance. The results indicated that in display industry companies should apply the information technology to improve the efficiency of purchasing process, and develop the standardized process for integrating marketing information and data of suppliers. For the key components, the buyers should develop a stable source of seller to ensure without interruption of supply chain. And, if the enterprises want to improve the supply quality and enhance their purchasing performance, they should select a small base of suppliers and intensively cooperate with them so as to build a long term partnership. The findings of this study can provide the practitioners in display industry for reference to improve their procurement performance, and the results also can apply to other high-tech industries to design and control their procurement system and process.
